Police: Broken nail set off salon attack
BRIDGETON, N.J. (AP) — A customer who allegedly squirted nail polish remover into the eyes of employees at a southern New Jersey nail salon has been charged with aggravated assault and a weapons offense. Authorities say 29-year-old Hakera Cochran of Bridgeton was upset because one of her nails broke on Friday afternoon, shortly after she had a manicure at the city salon. Authorities say employees tried to calm the irate woman, but she eventually picked up a bottle of nail polish remover and squirted it in the faces of two employees, striking their eyes. The two employees were treated at the scene by emergency responders but decided not to go to a hospital for further treatment.
Bitch be trippin’. What better way to handle the situation. Is there one? You have to let those people know they did a poor job. Some leave a poor Yelp rating, others might take to Facebook or Twitter to rant. However, this lady doesn’t fool around with that. She goes straight to source of her frustrations and lets them know how she feels in a way that set a great standard for children. It really demonstrates a positive way of handling your anger: deep breaths and a solid aim.
Maybe I don’t have a foot to stand on with this. I don’t get manicures so I don’t understand why nails are such a big deal. Why do you need to get your nails done? Nobody really cares. Someone will notice them for a split second, compliment them, then never notice them again. If the motivation for getting your nails done is that split second of attention you get, then the nail falling off seems like a positive thing. Not only will people notice the remaining nails, they will comment on the missing nail. Now you’ve doubled the attention you received. Then you can take if further and go on a rant about the terrible place you got the nails done. Now you’ve turned the split second of attention into an entire conversation about you. What more could you ask for?
